Know About Kula Conclave 2025

What is Kula Conclave?

Kula Conclave is a first-of-its-kind networking forum catalyzing dialogue between investors, industry leaders, and passionate innovators building impact-led solutions in India’s cultural economy, especially its Creative Manufacturing and Handmade (CMH) sector.

Our goal? To accelerate the potential of ‘Handmade in India’ through meaningful connections, candid conversations, and collaborative action.

What are the dates for Kula Conclave ’25? How long should I plan to stay?

Kula Conclave will take place in Jaipur on December 1st and 2nd, 2025.

To make the most of your visit, we recommend joining us for the entire Kula Week from November 27th to December 4th, 2025. Alongside the main event, curated city-based programs will unfold throughout the week.

Explore more via Kula Satellite Events & Experiences.

What are the foundations of Kula Conclave?

Kula is built on actionable insights from 200 Million Artisans’ / 200M’s flagship research Business of Handmade – 2nd Edition, which mapped the financing needs and challenges of 516 craft-led enterprises in India. The programming for Kula ’25 remains data-driven and co-created with diverse stakeholders committed to building a trillion-dollar future for ‘Handmade in India’.Check out highlights from Kula Conclave 2024 and Kula Conclave 2023.

How is Kula different from other finance conferences?

Kula champions Co-creation over competition, Participation over presentation, Dialogues over monologues, and Action over prescriptions. It’s not your average one-sided snoozefest.

Unlike many conferences, Kula is co-designed with craft-based founders, sector experts, and community organisations. Everyone brings something to the table — literally and figuratively.

Request an Invite Here

Why is the event “by invite” only?

Kula is by invitation to ensure a curated, high-quality experience. We’re capping the Conclave at 300 delegates, including 100–120 craft-based enterprises, to go deep instead of wide.

No crowded ‘mela’ here,  just meaningful, focused exchange.

Who is invited to Kula Conclave? / Who is Kula for?

If you are ready to network, learn, and co-create solutions that serve our communities uniquely, then Kula is the place for you.

High-Impact, High-Potential Enterprises:
Operating for at least 3 years, and are capital and collaboration-ready. Super early-stage? Not ideal — but surprise us!

• Catalytic Capital Providers:
Funders and investors offering patient, inclusive capital to support creative enterprises driving climate action and inclusion.

Ecosystem Actors + Service Providers:
Leaders, experts, and support organisations ready to contribute resources, insights, or networks.

Kula is also committed to ensuring
50% participation by women.

What happens if my request for an invite gets declined?

Selection is based on diversity of geography, gender, expertise, and readiness — to give and receive.

If your invite is declined or waitlisted, don’t worry, there are many ways to participate: from Kula Innovate, to Kula Installations, and Satellite Events.

You’re still part of the community.

What's with all the forms?

We’re data nerds who believe in intentional matchmaking. Forms help us connect you with the right people, unlocking better opportunities for everyone.

Are artisans invited?

Absolutely. We’re inviting a curated group of artisan entrepreneurs and leaders who are eager to participate and grow.

Our team at 200M will support up to 15 artisan-entrepreneurs from across India. Know someone? Nominate them at kula@200millionartisans.org.

How does the conclave help the craft communities?

Our platform enables India's many craft-led enterprises to find opportunities to grow and scale their impact, thereby empowering them with tools, resources and networks to create dignified pathways for millions of artisans, craft communities, and creative producers across the nation.

In case you are wondering about our Solidarity Fees for Delegates?

The Delegate Fee helps make Kula sustainable. It covers:

Venue + equipment
Delicious local meals
Subsidised participation for artisan leaders

Last year, a few folks, including some big organisations and funders, asked if we had complimentary spots. Totally fair — who doesn’t love a little extra love? But we’re a small, bootstrapped team building something big. Community-building takes time, energy, and real resources. We hope you’ll back us in keeping things sustainable as we grow together. Thanks (in advance) for showing up with heart and a full ticket!

Can I host a session at Kula?

Yes! Request an invite via www.kulaconclave.com, and you’ll be guided to the Kula Co-Design Form.

If I offer a workshop or come as a speaker, will my travel and stay be supported?

Kula is a co-created potluck — everyone brings something unique and meaningful to the table. We subsidise travel/stay only for selected artisan entrepreneurs.

If your session proposal is accepted, you’ll receive a 50% discount on the Delegate Fee.

Can I sell at Kula / Will there be a marketplace?

Not at the Conclave itself. But you can join local marketplaces hosted by our partners across Jaipur as part of Kula Satellite Events.‍

I am an international delegate. When should I book my ticket?

ASAP! December is peak season in Jaipur. Once your Kula pass is confirmed, we’ll share hotel discounts.

Will there be hotel discounts facilitated by 200M?

Yes, we’ve tied up with select local hotels. Codes will be shared once your pass is confirmed.

Are there travel grants?

Not yet, but we’re exploring options. Stay tuned for updates.

Are Kula Conclave tickets refundable if I can no longer attend?

Unfortunately, all Kula Conclave ticket purchases are non-refundable. However, if you're unable to attend, you may write to us at kula@200millionartisans.org to explore possible options for transferring your ticket to a colleague or peer, subject to approval and timeline.
